Holiday Cheer

Ready or not the holiday season is upon us. Here are 4 short videos to help get you in the spirit!

Kicking off the Holidays

The annual Monument Lighting in the first week of December marks the unofficial opening of the holiday season in Baltimore.

We made a full video of the celebration that you can check out here:

Baltimore Monument Lighting
Get into the holiday spirit with the spectacular fireworks display at the 52nd Annual Monument Lighting at Mount Vernon Place in Baltimore, Maryland. This holiday tradition happens the first Thursday in December and marks the unofficial start of the Holiday Season in Baltimore.

Krampusnacht

December 5th is Krampusnacht (Krampus Night). St. Nicholas rewards nice children with presents, while Krampus punishes naughty children. Traditionally men dressed as the horned creature Krampus chase down naughty children to beat them with branches and sticks but our Krampus festivals are a lot more fun.

Krampus Festival featuring Greenbelt HONK! Situation
Greenbelt, Maryland’s Krampus Festival mixes Alpine folklore with local spirit. The community dresses up and gathers to dance to the music of Greenbelt Honk! Situation and revel in a whimsical mix of spooky mischief and holiday cheer.

Holiday Traditions

Holidays are all about the traditions we keep. Buying presents for people we love, making cookies and getting together with friends and family.
